San Carlos, CA. (Monday, March 4, 1996) -- Continuing a long-standing tradition, the Eimac Division of Communications and Power Industries (CPI) will again this year cosponsor the annual Ham Reception to be held on the evening of April 17th at the National Association of Broadcasters Exhibition, the NAB show, held in Las Vegas, Nevada. The eventís sponsorship will be shared with Richardson Electronics, Ltd., as it was last year.
At the event, both Fred Koehler, President of Eimac, and Bob Birkeneder, Broadcast Business Unit Manager of Richardson, will make presentations followed by the awarding of door prizes. Fred Koehler has often stated that the Ham community is important to Eimac, and in fact was the driving reason the company was originally started back in 1934. "The Ham community is a part of our proud heritage, going all the way back to our first tube, the 150T triode," said Mr. Koehler. "Eimac is certainly a part of this group by virtue of our product commitment and support. In addition, we maintain our own Ham station, W6AY, at our San Carlos headquarters."
The Eimac Division of Communications and Power Industries, Inc. (CPI) is a leading producer of power grid tubes for radio and television broadcast, industrial heating and processing, as well as for radar, medical and scientific applications. Eimac attained ISO 9001 registration in 1995. They may be contacted at (415) 592-1221.
